Well WTF is with Photobucket....?

Right below this here post is a test from Flickr. It's there because I've decided to switch my online pictures storage from Photobucket to Flickr.

Photobucket apparently wants to renew my subscription for $40 a year. With that I get only 10Gb of space, and 63mb of BANDWIDTH!!! In addition, permissions are blanketed, I can't set specific permissions for albums or pictures.
With Flickr I get unlimited upload, storage, and bandwidth; as well as the ability to set my own permissions for photos. For $30 a year, its a significantly better deal than Photobucket.

The only problem that I'm faced with is moving all those pictures over to Flickr....oh wait, they have a super nice bulk uploader tool that allows me to queue other uploads. HAHA, this won't be a problem at all.

In the end both services have things that I liked, however, the things that I thought were cool on photobucket I just never used. For example, FTP uploads and the ability to set custom URLs for albums. It was pretty cool, but I think Flickr is much more service oriented. Photobucket seems to add in features that sound cool but are ultimately pointless. Which makes sense, seeing how they are run by FOX, when was the last time Rupert Murdoch used the computer for anything aside from.....come to think of it, I don't think he's ever used one.

Link to the Flickr is updated on the side panel, as well as here.
